I did but not really.

Imagine getting your picture taken just before you summit that amazingly high mountain with all that ice and snow. A fog and snow decreased visibility all of a sudden. I survived, then went on to another adventure.

Dorothy here. Sky diving was next. I only broke my watch on that landing that the wind dragged me and my parachute 100 yards after my touchdown. My friend was not so lucky. Marty broke his cellphone. Actually, he was trying to take a selfie after the parachute deployed. Wind jerked him up and the phone went down. It actually fell in a field with horses in it. The horses were startled enough to trample on that fallen phone.

Scuba diving was not so much fun. I dislocated my thumb somehow when taking off those tanks. I was sitting down and the tank fell on my finger when I bumped it fumbling with that wet suit. I did take a trip to the Bahamas and a year later I got into snorkeling and that was my favorite evolving living experience. Met some friendly fishes also.

Hiking the Appalachian trail now that was an experience. I met so many other friendly hikers we bonded and walked together for most of the trip. One area we were plagued by a bunch of mosquitos. That was the worst, but we were prepared and no one got malaria. (Laugh). That story about the bear that ate cocaine kept me awake after that campfire group smore feast.

I have met good and bad people. Not so much bad but cold and irritated frustration while pushing one’s limits can be a bummer. I can forgive and live with that. I hope they also forgave my shortcomings and temper at times. Few but disheartening.

I even got paid to do like a documentary on one of my adventures in Africa. It helps we had a good guide, and we were schooled before going on the first safari. Not to panic was a hard one when that hippo opened his mouth in front of me. We were gone before he closed it. I think the boat walked on the water that time.

I am lucky. Good job and enough money to travel not like a millionaire but a pioneer of the 21st century. Grateful that drove a brand-new Jeep and made it look like it went thru hell a year later. Which it did. The desert took that toll on all of us. We should have stuck with the camels.

Taking pictures was the easiest part. Cell phone adventurers with good shades and hats. I am older now. Not done but camp from hotel to hotel instead of camps and campfires now. I have my grandchildren watch out I do not get hurt if I fall. If they only knew falling was fun. Overturned raft during Grand Canyon awesome. I never knew I could scream that loud.

Remerging memories or seeing them in pictures in my mind and on my computer. Skiing again and dreaming that dream as the wind bites my cheeks.

Todd recording this awesome memory of an exceptional woman. You know she survived a plane crash when she was a child. How! Was a miracle. She had minor injuries and was in the papers forever. She lived in that war zone and being rescued. Put on a plane that was shot down. She was orphaned after that stickery fire that burned everything human and abandoned pets. That nude picture of her walking and crying after the napalm fell. I took it. Here we are all those years later. I wondered what she was doing? She never wondered about me at all. Go figger.
